Police: Driver ran off after crashing into house on Carter Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— Rochester Police are still searching for a runaway driver after a car crashed into the porch of a home Friday morning.
The crash happened on Carter Street, about a block away from Portland Avenue around 12:45 a.m.
Police say the driver made a run for it as officers arrived on the scene. The crash caused a lot of damage to the front porch, but officers say the home itself was not damaged.
Nobody inside the house was hurt. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
