Police identify man killed on Lang Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – The Rochester Police Department identified the man killed in a shooting on Lang Street Tuesday afternoon.

The call came in around 2:30 p.m. when police responded to the area of Lang Street and North Clinton Avenue for the report of multiple shots fired.

Police say that when they arrived they located one man dead in the driveway of 18 Lang Street. The victim has been identified as Andrew Coffey, 34, of Rochester.

The motive behind the shooting is unknown at this time and there are currently no suspects in custody.

This is the 33 homicide this year in Rochester.
