Police investigating double shooting on Rochester’s northwest side

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Police are investigating after two men were shot on the city’s northwest side Saturday night.
Rochester Police responded around 9 p.m. to the area of Parkway and Jones Avenue for the report of a person shot.
Upon arrival, officers saw a car leaving the scene which had a gunshot victim inside. The car drove to Strong Memorial Hospital where police were able to meet up with the victim. There, police found a 53-year-old man, who was shot at least once in his lower body.
As officers were investigating, a 38-year-old man walked into Rochester General Hospital with a gunshot wound to his lower body. Police confirmed that he was also shot on Parkway.
Both victims are expected to survive.

There are no suspects in custody at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
