Police: Man found deceased in Genesee River near Driving Park Bridge

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Police are investigating after a man was found floating in the Genesee River, deceased.

Rochester Police received a call just before 6 p.m. Thursday from someone who found a body floating in the water near the Driving Park Bridge in Rochester’s Maplewood neighborhood.

Police say they found the body of a man floating, lifeless in the river when they arrived. They say they aren’t sure of the man’s identity, or even age or race.

Police say they are not releasing any further details at this time.

The Driving Park Bridge has reopened to traffic.
