Police searching for 2 suspects after armed home invasion in Irondequoit Sunday afternoon

IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Irondequoit Police Department is searching for two men after a home invasion and robbery off of Culver Road near Seabreeze that involved a stolen car.

It happened at around 1:15 p.m. on Sunday. The victims told Irondequoit Police that they were inside their Vanderlin Park home when two men entered with handguns, stole some of their belongings and then drove off.

Police say they later found the car, which had been reported stolen, unoccupied in the City of Rochester. No one was injured during the incident.

Investigators believe it could have been pre-planned, but that it was an isolated event.
