RMSC receives new collection of Frederick Douglass artifacts
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Guests can take a look back in time at the work of Frederick Douglass at the Rochester Museum and Science Center.
A new archival collection contains photographs, pamphlets, a film reel, numerous books on African American history and books by and about Douglass and much more.
The collection focuses on the Douglass family, aiming to provide a more holistic view of Frederick Douglass beyond his life as a public figure.
The collection was donated by the estate of Roland Scott Jr., Douglass’s great-great-grandson.
