Rochester man arrested for arson after Colvin Street fire

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Rochester man is now charged with arson after a house fire in July.

The fire department tells us a ‘rooming house’ on Colvin Street was set on fire just before 9 p.m. on July 15.

The man took off before firefighters got there.

No one was injured but everyone inside couldn’t return home.

The fire department says they caught the 34-year-old suspect trying to break into the same house that was vacant due to the fire he set.
