Rochester’s Jewish community to commemorate Passover

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Friday night marks the beginning of Passover, when Jewish people commemorate the Old Testament story of the deliverance of the ancient Hebrews from slavery in Egypt.

It begins at sundown. The Chabad Lubavitch of Rochester on Winton Road is holding a Passover Seder, where there will be stories and a dinner.

It starts at 7 with appetizers and services begin at 7:35 p.m.

The event is free, but attendees must register online.
