RPD recovers stolen car while investigating Parkside Avenue shooting
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Police are investigating a shooting that happened on Parkside Avenue near Webster Avenue just before 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.
Upon arriving at the scene, police were made aware that the victim was a 20-year-old female who went to Rochester General Hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.
530 Webster Avenue, which contains the Thomas P Ryan Recreation Center, the Sully Branch Library and a Pre-K center, had to go into lockdown according to the RPD.
Police said that they are still looking into the circumstances behind the shooting, but that during the incident, they did recover a vehicle that had been reported stolen.
