Scholar Athlete of The Week: Ella French

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — "Classes are 72 minutes each," East High’s Ella French said. “So that’s really, really long. So, I had to be focused on class that whole time."

And that’s just what East High senior Ella French does. A member of the National Honor Society and High Honor Roll, safe to say she’s locked in from start to finish. Then comes a necessary outlet: Softball.

"It’s honestly fun because I get all my energy out that I’ve had built in 72 minute long classes out during the game," she said.

A tri-sport athlete, French holds a 4.6 GPA and is the salutatorian for the class of 2022.

"I wanted to sort of make like leave a good reputation for myself when I leave here," French added.
