Schools in Buffalo increase security presence after a Snapchat threat

ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) — Schools in Buffalo may see an increased police presence this morning as the district deals with a social media threat.

Schools leaders are adding extra police around campus today, specifically at Riverside High School.

This comes after a picture of a gun with the caption "march 16th" was posted to Snapchat. That threat was deemed not credible, but police in buffalo are monitoring the situation.
