ALBANY, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Siena College Research Institute poll shows that 53% of respondents favored Gov. Kathy Hochul over her opponent Congressman Lee Zeldin in the governor’s race. 39% of respondents favored Zeldin.

The poll comes with less than 100 days until Election Day. In New York City, Hochul has a 50 percentage point lead over Zeldin.

Pollster Steven Greenberg said the poll results were due to New York State having more enrolled Democrats than Republicans.

Here are some other results from the poll for the New York State elections.

  • 56% said they favored Democratic US Senator Chuck Schumer over Republican Joe Pinion.
  • 51% said they favored Democratic State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli over Republican Paul Rodriguez.
  • 51% said they favored Democratic Attorney General Letitia James over Republican Michael Henry.
  • 68% of New York voters said they oppose the recent Supreme Court decision to overrun Roe v. Wade.
