Single-engine plane crash in Canandaigua
CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. (WHEC) – OCSO says that a small plane crashed just north of the Canandaigua airport Tuesday afternoon.
Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says a call came in just after 2 p.m. on Brickyard and Yerkes Road in the town of Canandaigua for the report of a single-engine plane down in a field.
Before the plane crashed, the pilot self-ejected. He was brought to Strong Hospital by Mercy Flight with injuries that are deemed non-life-threatening.
Lifenet is headed to Mercy Flight Central Base.
