ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)—Thursday marks 50 years since the uprising at the Attica Correctional Facility.
It led to the nation’s deadliest prison riot in history.
32 inmates and 11 corrections officers were killed. Inmates had complained about overcrowding and unsafe living conditions which led to the riots, which lasted for five days.
