Truck crashes into Lake Ontario

PARMA, N.Y. (WHEC) — A driver has been arrested for DWI after the individual drove through a barrier, down a rock wall and became partially submerged in Lake Ontario.

According to MCSO, at around 10:40 p.m. Thursday evening, sheriff’s deputies responded to the area of North Avenue in Parma for a report of a car accident.

Deputies say the truck was traveling northbound on North Avenue and at the end of the street drove through a barrier.

The truck continues and then went down a rock wall, partially submerging into Lake Ontario. The driver was uninjured an able to exit the truck safely.

After investigation, deputies say the driver was arrested for DWI.
