ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — If you’ve recently opened your Twitter app, you may have noticed something a bit different, and it may be something you’re down for, or, not…
According to Twitter’s Support page, some Apple users may see different options to up or downvote on replies to Tweets. The app says it’s testing the feature to understand the types of replies you find relevant in a conversation, so it can work on ways to show more of them.
Right now, Reddit uses a similar option- though downvotes are public. As for Twitter, your downvotes are not public, however, you do choose to give a comment an "upvote" , it’ll be shown as likes.
Some key notes about this experiment:

1. This is just a test for research right now.
2. This is not a dislike button.
3. Your downvotes are visible to you only.
4. Votes won’t change the order of replies.
The feature is not to be confused with a dislike button.
Twitter recently pulled back on its "Fleet" feature, which mirrored "stories" on apps like Facebook, Snapchat, and Instagram.
