Two people hospitalized after overnight shootings in Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Two young people were injured during shootings on Sunday night in Rochester.

Police said a 20-year-old man was rushed to a hospital in a private car after a shooting on Scio Street near Ontario Street, which happened around 11:45 p.m. He was hit in the lower body

A 16-year-old boy was also taken to the hospital in a private car after being shot in the upper body on Merrimac Street, between Hudson Avenue and North Street, just after 11:30 p.m.

Both victims are expected to survive and no one is in custody yet. RPD is asking anyone with information to call 911.
