ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — This year’s 2-day Urban League of Rochester’s Interrupt Racism Summit began Tuesday.

The theme of the 2021 virtual conference is "Health, Wealth, and Safety for Black/Indigenous/People of Color," featuring a stellar slate of local and national thought leaders across these areas.

The summit works to confront and dismantle systemic racism.

Urban League of Rochester’s Doctor Seanelle Hawkins got the ball rolling and closed today’s session.

News10NBC’s Deanna Dewberry had the honor of serving as the emcee of the event.
