Want to check out the changing leaves across NY? Interactive map picks out the best spots

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Fall foliage and New York State is a match made in heaven, and the state’s tourism leaders have a tool set up for you to find the best spots to spot the changing leaves.

iLoveNY has its Fall Foliage Report, complete with an interactive map that breaks down where the peak, or near-peak color changes are across the state. The map uses a color-coded system designed to track the progress.

According to the state, the reports, which are released every Wednesday, are detailed by volunteers and spell out the conditions heading into the coming weekend.

The reports break down the state on a regional basis from the Adirondacks down through the Finger Lakes and more downstate.
