Woman is recovering after a shooting on Smith Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – Police are investigating a shooting that happened early this morning on Smith Street in Rochester.
At 1 a.m., officers found a 35-year-old woman shot near Smith and Grape streets. Police say she was lying down inside her house when shots came through the window and hit her.
She’s at the hospital right now and is expected to live.
Police closed part of the road in front of the house where the shooting happened. No one is in custody.
