ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Eligibility requirements for high school athletes are being updated to fit new learning models.
The State Public High School Athletic Association says students must be enrolled in at least three classes, plus physical education, if they want to play a sport. They say it doesn't matter if these courses are taken in-person or online.
The fall sports season is currently on hold as the state continues to discuss a plan.
