ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Gov. Andrew Cuomo has placed state funding for schools and universities on hold.
Earlier this year, the governor threatened to cut aid to schools, local governments and hospitals by as much as 20% if New York didn’t receive more federal aid.
So, how much money are school districts missing out on right now?
According to Politico, $324 million. The same report claims universities are missing out on $430 million.
Currently, federal lawmakers are still at odds over the next federal relief bill.
