ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Monroe #1 BOCES Creekside School had an "emergency closure" on Friday.

The school confirmed to News10NBC that the one-day closure was due to anticipated absences and COVID-19 quarantine-related leaves.

For now, 40 students will be moved to remote learning.

BOCES said it’s not a decision it made lightly and the school is "aggressively hiring staff."
