ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Nazareth College will require faculty, staff, and students to get a COVID-19 booster shot by Tuesday, Feb. 1, or as soon as they are eligible.

The college says it will start its spring semester with in-person classes as planned on Monday, Jan. 17.

Starting Saturday, Jan. 15, Naz will require visitors to show digital or physical proof of COVID-19 vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test within the past 48 hours for all group events in the gym, pool, Golisano Training Center, performance spaces, or chapel and any other indoor public campus event where 100 or more people are expected to attend.

Naz is strongly encouraging students to take a COVID-19 test before they arrive on campus.

The college is still requiring everyone on campus to wear a mask while indoors.
