ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The college has specific guidlines on when the booster documentation and who is exempt from the requirement.

St. John Fisher says eligible students and employees must provide documentation by Jan. 24 or within 30 days of becoming eligible for the booster shot. People who have already gotten the booster shot must submit proof to the Patient Portal.

The college will have a booster clinic on Jan. 19 and is working to secure another clinic with more information to be announced at a later date.

On Tuesday, Nazareth College announced similar requirements for the booster shot. Nazareth is requiring proof by Feb. 1 or as soon as people are eligible. Nazareth is also requiring visitors to show proof of vaccination or a negative test within 48 hours for a variety of events on campus.

Currently, these are the eligibility requirements:

  • Received their second dose of the Pfizer vaccination at least five months ago.
  • Received their second dose of the Moderna vaccination at least six months ago.
  • Received the Janssen/Johnson & Johnson vaccination at least two months ago.

St. John Fisher is honoring previously approved medical and religious exemptions. However, they must continue to wear a mask on campus and test weekly.
