ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The State University of New York will offer one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccines to residential students.
SUNY Chancellor Jim Malatras announced Tuesday that the university system's goal is to get all students who live on campus vaccinated by the end of the spring semester.
SUNY has secured its first shipment of more than 18,000 doses and is working with the state to secure additional shots, which will be distributed to more campuses as weekly installments over the next several weeks.
More than 350,000 SUNY students received emails Tuesday reminding them of their eligibility and giving directions to make an appointment.
