ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The City of Rochester announced a second employee that was handling grab-and-go meals at an R-Center has tested positive for COVID-19.
The City’s Director of Communications, Justin Roj, says the employee last worked at the Carter Street R-Center on Wednesday, March 25, and that they were asymptomatic.
Roj said the employee began feeling sick the next day and didn’t come into work.
The distribution centers are following precautionary measures, including having employees wear masks and gloves and extensively cleaning things to ensure there is no increased threat to people receiving meals.
