CORNING, N.Y. (WHEC) — Five residents of Corning Center have died from COVID-19 between Sept. 23 and Sept. 30 according to the Steuben County Public Health Department.
The department says two were women ages 82 and 94 and three were men ages 72, 78 and 80.
The county’s Public Health Director said in a statement that the recent spike of cases in the county has her concerned about the potential for more deaths.
Forty-nine people in Steuben County have now died from COVID-19-related causes according to the health department.
