ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Monroe County Executive Adam Bello announced a new Emergency Small Business Assistance loan program on Thursday to help businesses affected by the coronavirus crisis.

The program, which was approved on Wednesday by the Monroe County Industrial Development Corporation, will offer zero-interest loans of up to $10,000 to qualifying small businesses in a variety of industries with 50 or fewer full-time equivalent employees.

The initial funding for the program is $500,000, but that may increase depending on demand and support from MCIDC and the County of Monroe Industrial Development Agency. 

Additional information and applications are available on the Monroe County website. Applications can be submitted electronically to mcplanning@monroecounty.gov or by mail to MCIDC, 50 W. Main Street, Rochester, N.Y. 14614.
