ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Because of the coronavirus, former Congressman Chris Collins wants to push back the date he has to report to prison.

In a letter to the judge, his attorneys said Collins is older than 65 and has additional risk factors.

They say it would be dangerous for Collins to report for incarceration right now.

A request was filed to move the date to June 23.

Collins is scheduled to report to prison on April 21 after his report date was previously pushed back.

He was sentenced to 26 months in prison back in January, after pleading guilty to insider trading charges.
