ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Monroe County Department of Public Health announced 171 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 Tuesday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 64,394.
As of Tuesday, 4,676 cases are active. A total of 1,263 people have died from COVID-19-related causes in Monroe County.
The 7-day rolling average positivity rate for the county based on combined PCR and antigen test results was 3.0%, and the 7-day rolling average of new cases was 193 as of Tuesday.
The 7-day rolling average positivity rate for the county based on NAAT/PCR test results is 5.58%, which the CDC considers moderate. The county only updates that number on Mondays.
According to health officials, 52.2% of Monroe County residents (387,881 people) have received at least one dose of the vaccine, and 330,675 people in the county are fully vaccinated as of Tuesday. Click here to see the Finger Lakes region's vaccine data.
The Finger Lakes region's COVID-19 dashboard showed 221 people in the region are hospitalized, including 52 in the ICU.
