ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — News10NBC is tracking the coronavirus in the surrounding counties in the Greater Rochester and Finger Lakes area.

In Genesee County, at least five people have died from COVID-19-related causes, 362 people have tested positive for the virus. Genesee and Orleans Counties have a shared case map.

In Livingston County, eight people have died from COVID-19-related causes, 345 people have tested positive for the virus, and 286 people have recovered. The county has a map of cases.

In Ontario County, 35 people have died from COVID-19-related causes, 655 people have tested positive for COVID-19, seven people are hospitalized, 602 people are in isolation or quarantine, and 549 people have recovered from the virus. Ontario County has a case dashboard.

In Orleans County, at least 49 people have died and 397 people have tested positive for COVID-19. Genesee and Orleans Counties have a shared case map. At least 24 of the dead were connected to the Villages of Orleans Health and Rehabilitation Center.

In Seneca County, five people have died from COVID-19-related causes. There are 127 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Of those cases, none are hospitalized, and 110 people have recovered and 180 are in quarantine and being monitored.

In Steuben County, 81 people have died from COVID-19-related causes. Of the 1,104 confirmed cases, 146 cases are active. Sixteen people are hospitalized and 849 have recovered. There are also 663 people in quarantine. Steuben County has a case map

In Wayne County, six people have died from COVID-19-related causes and 513 people have tested positive for the virus. Of those cases, 381 have resolved. Of the 126 active cases, 10 require hospitalization. The county's public health department has demographic information on its website, which shows 87 of those active cases are in nursing homes and includes residents and staff.

In Wyoming County, five people have died from COVID-19-related causes, 201 people have tested positive for the virus, 185 people have recovered, 11 people are in mandatory isolation, 57 travelers are in precautionary quarantine and 120 people are in mandatory quarantine.

In Yates County, seven people have died, 222 people have tested positive for COVID-19, one person is currently hospitalized, 53 travelers are under quarantine, 154 people who may have been exposed are in quarantine or isolation and 187 people have recovered.

The information above is from each county’s health department. Not all health departments release the same information and some release more information than others.
