ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — News10NBC is tracking the coronavirus in the surrounding counties in the Greater Rochester and Finger Lakes area.

In Genesee County, at least five people have died from COVID-19-related causes, 272 people have tested positive for the virus. Genesee and Orleans Counties have a shared case map.

In Livingston County, eight people have died from COVID-19-related causes, 153 people have tested positive for the virus, and 131 people have recovered. The county has a map of cases.

In Ontario County, 34 people have died from COVID-19-related causes, 359 people have tested positive for COVID-19, one person is currently hospitalized, 50 people are in isolation or quarantine and 316 people have recovered from the virus. At least three of the dead were residents of the Ontario Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Hopewell, and 25 cases have been residents or employees of the Elm Manor Nursing Home according to Ontario County Public Health.    Ontario County has a case dashboard.

In Orleans County, at least 49 people have died and 282 people have tested positive for COVID-19. Genesee and Orleans Counties have a shared case map. At least 24 of the dead were connected to the Villages of Orleans Health and Rehabilitation Center.

In Seneca County, three people have died from COVID-19-related causes. There are 73 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Of those cases, one person is hospitalized, and 67 people have recovered. One-hundred and thirty-one people are in quarantine and being monitored.

In Steuben County, 42 people have died from COVID-19-related causes, 317 people have tested positive for the virus, one is hospitalized and 266 have recovered. There are also 65 people in quarantine. Steuben County has a case map.

In Wayne County, four people have died from COVID-19-related causes and 246 people have tested positive for the virus. Of those cases, 230 have resolved. Of the 11 active cases, one person is hospitalized. The county's public health department has demographic information on its website.

In Wyoming County, five people have died from COVID-19-related causes, 114 people have tested positive for the virus, 107 people have recovered, two people are in mandatory isolation, 58 people are in precautionary quarantine and 18 people are in mandatory quarantine.

In Yates County, seven people have died, 57 people have tested positive for COVID-19, none of those people are hospitalized, 192 travelers are under quarantine, eight people who may have been exposed are in quarantine or isolation and 50 people have recovered.

The information above is from each county’s health department. Not all health departments release the same information, and some release more information than others.
