ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — News10NBC is tracking the coronavirus in the surrounding counties in the Greater Rochester and Finger Lakes area.

Genesee County had a shared case map with Orleans County, but it hasn't been accessible for months. The CDC COVID data tracker has Genesee County listed as "high" transmission.

In Livingston County, 55 people have died from COVID-19-related causes, 5,921 people have tested positive for the virus since March 2020, 114 cases are active as of Oct. 20, and 5,752 people have recovered. The county reports 58% of the population has been vaccinated. The county has a case dashboard. The CDC COVID data tracker has Livingston County listed as "high" transmission.

In Ontario County, 122 people have died from COVID-19-related causes, more than 9,300 people have tested positive for COVID-19 since March of 2020, 24 of those cases are new, 24 people are hospitalized, 446 people are in isolation or quarantine, and 8,994 people have recovered from the virus. Orleans County had a shared case map with Genesee County, but it hasn't been accessible for months. In Seneca County, 79 people have died from COVID-19-related causes. There are 2,988 confirmed cases of COVID-19, 82 are active and 10 are hospitalized, 2,827 people have recovered and 106 are in quarantine and being monitored. The CDC COVID data tracker has Seneca County listed as "high" transmission.

In Steuben County, 221 people have died from COVID-19-related causes. As of Oct. 20, there are 419 active cases, including 40 "breakthrough" cases in fully vaccinated people. Steuben County has a case mapThe CDC COVID data tracker has Steuben County listed as "high" transmission.

In Wayne County, 87 people have died from COVID-19-related causes. The health department reports a total of 10,188 positive cases. Of those cases, 585 are active, and 25 are hospitalized. The county's public health department has demographic information on its website. Of the 87 deaths in Wayne County, at least 17 were residents of the DeMay nursing home. The CDC COVID data tracker has Wayne County listed as "high" transmission.

In Wyoming County, 58 people have died from COVID-19-related causes, 3,515 people have tested positive for the virus, 3,399 people have recovered, 58 people are in mandatory isolation, and 58 people are in mandatory quarantine. As of Oct. 21, the county says 20,348 people, or 60.2% of the population, have received at least one dose of the vaccine. The CDC COVID data tracker has Wyoming County listed as "high" transmission.

In Yates County, 26 people have died, 1,735 people have tested positive for COVID-19, 96 cases are active, seven people are currently hospitalized, 213 people are in quarantine and more than 1,600 people have recovered.
