Cuomo adds 10 more states to restricted travel advisory

ALBANY, N.Y. (WHEC) — Gov. Andrew Cuomo has added 10 states to the restricted travel list and removed one, bringing the total to 31.

The list now includes:

  • Alaska
  • Delaware
  • Indiana
  • Maryland
  • Missouri
  • North Dakota
  • Nebraska
  • Virginia
  • Washington

Minnesota was dropped from the advisory.

People traveling to New York state from these states are required to quarantine for 14 days as a precautionary measure, regardless of whether or not they’ve tested positive for COVID-19.

"COVID is now increasing in 41 states across the country, and 31 are on the quarantine list. So again, why are we trying to help other places and learn about these necessary operations that have to be in place? Because our future is in their hands," Cuomo said.
