ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Gov. Andrew Cuomo provided an update on New York's COVID-19 numbers Friday afternoon.

Gov. Cuomo said the Finger Lakes region is at a 3.5% positive rate.

New York State with clusters is at 2.6% positive. Without the clusters, the state is at 2.15% positive. The clusters themselves are 4.5% positive.

He also said that while New York's positivity rates are going up and some areas have been declared yellow, orange or red zones, New York is doing better than other states. He specifically mentioned California, which is instituting new lockdown measures at a 9% positive rate.

Cuomo doubled down saying he is concerned about Thanksgiving and the rest of the holiday season.
