ALBANY, N.Y. (WHEC) — The state is extending its tax deadline for both home and business owners.
You now have until June 20 to pay your property or sales taxes without facing late fees or penalties, according to Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
The governor made the announcement during his press briefing on Thursday.
Property and sales taxes were originally due at the end of March.
The state hopes this will provide some financial relief during the pandemic.
