ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A federal judge has upheld New York’s travel advisory.

The advisory requires out-of-state travelers coming from COVID-19 hotspots to quarantine for 14 days upon arriving in the state.

A U.S. district judge in Utica dismissed a lawsuit against it, ruling the quarantine order applies equally to New York residents arriving from a restricted state and non-New York residents.

Currently, 31 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands are included in the travel advisory.
