PAINTED POST, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Steuben County Public Health Department in collaboration with the New York State Department of Health is offering free rapid COVID-19 testing starting Monday. 

Rapid COVID-19 testing will start on Monday, Oct. 19, and go until Friday, Oct. 23 at the Beartown Road Alliance Church on Beartown Road in Painted Post. 

The testing will be available at the following times:

  • Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Oct.  20 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Oct. 22 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Oct. 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Testing is free and open to all New York State residents. 

Participants must pre-register in order to be tested and stay in their vehicle upon arrival with their windows rolled up until testing occurs. 

Participants should also wear a mask and bring proper identification. Those under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
