ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand is making a push to get her latest vaccine distribution plan implemented.

The Health Force, Resilience Force, And Jobs To Fight COVID-19 Act would provide funding to train community health workers.

It would also help get the vaccine distributed to more communities with low vaccination rates.

The bill was approved as part of the American Rescue Plan earlier this year.

Altogether it provides nearly $8 billion to make sure those workers are being paid no less than $15 an hour.
