Good Question: What are banks doing to stop the spread of germs?

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Routines are changing because of the coronavirus pandemic, but people still have to go to the bank.

Lots of viewers have asked what banks are doing to keep germs from spreading.


News10NBC got answers from local banks.

To encourage social distancing, ESL is only serving customers through drive-up tellers.

All ATMs are still open, but the credit union tells us they are disinfected daily.

Starting Thursday, March 19, KeyBank is also doing drive-up service only.

Customers who need to meet with a banker or get to their safe deposit boxes have to make an appointment online.

You can still go inside Bank of America branches.

According to its website, deep cleanings have been increased at all facilities.
