Governor Hochul updates NY State COVID-19 data for Saturday

ALBANY, N.Y. (WHEC) — Governor Hochul provided this update for New York’s response to COVID-19 on Saturday.

The state’s COVID-19 test positivity rate is 2.84% of the 203,374. There were 34 more deaths from the coronavirus in NY.

Over the past 24 hours, 66,746 people were vaccinated, bringing the total in the state to 24,255,789.
66.5% of all eligible New Yorkers have had at least one dose of the COVID-vaccine. 78.8% of those 18 and older have had a least one dose of the vaccine.
In the 10 counties in the Finger Lakes region which includes Rochester and Monroe County, the COVID-19 test positivity rate was as follows:
Wednesday: 4.54%, Thursday: 4.51%, and Friday: 4.55%.

The other counties included in the Finger Lakes region are Wayne, Ontario, Livingston, Yates, Seneca, Steuben, Genesee, Orleans, and Wyoming.
