BATAVIA, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Genesee County Health Department (GCHD) says an employee of the Bourbon & Burger restaurant in Batavia has tested positive for COVID-19.
The GCHD says the employees worked at the restaurant on Thursday, Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, Nov. 6 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Monday, Nov. 9 between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.
The health department is in the process of contact tracing, but says “unidentified individuals may have unknowingly been in contact with the positive case.”
It’s advising anyone who was at Bourbon & Burger to monitor themselves for symptoms for 14 days.
If you develop symptoms, the GCHD advises you to contact your doctor, get tested for COVID-19 and self-isolate at least until you get the results.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting and diarrhea.
