Right now 513 people with COVID-19 are hospitalized, which is 11 more than were hospitalized as on Monday.

Lesho said as of now, there’s no sign of that surge letting up.

"Most of them in the ICU who are very seriously ill are unvaccinated but you know there is a percentage that are also vaccinated,” Lesho said. “So again it’s important to get the boosters."

Lesho said it’s also important to wear a mask if you’re indoors.

He said wearing a mask is tried and true, not only to limit cases of COVID-19, but also the flu and other respiratory illnesses.
