PENN YAN, N.Y. (WHEC) — Keuka College will transition to distance learning for two weeks beginning Monday after 12 students tested positive for COVID-19 in 24 hours.

The college posted an update on its official blog Friday saying that brings the campus’s total number of COVID-19 cases to 17 active cases.

According to the college, more than 70 people who may have had contact with those students are now in quarantine, with about half of them remaining on campus.

The Yates County Department of Public Health is helping the college with contact tracing.
