(WHEC) — Minority children from lower economic backgrounds are at a greater risk of getting the coronavirus.
That's according to a new study published in the official journal of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Researchers looked at data from 1,000 patients at a testing site.
They found that 30% of Black and 46% of Hispanic children tested positive.
Meanwhile, only 7% of white children in the study tested positive.
They also found that kids in the lowest quarter of family income tested nearly 30-points higher than those in the highest quarter.
