ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Monroe County Board of Elections Commissioner has tested positive for COVID-19 and dozens of people may have been exposed.
Republican Commissioner Lisa Nicolay sent an email to staff at the BOE informing them Tuesday night.
News10NBC obtained the email and it shows Nicolay telling workers that Monroe County is recommending that everyone in the department should stay home or work remotely at least through the Thanksgiving holiday.
She does not mention dates or times of possible exposure but Nicolay was among dozens of election workers involved in the counting and processing of absentee ballots last week.
This is a developing story. Watch News10NBC today for the latest.
