ALBANY, N.Y. (WHEC) — The state is now investigating 170 cases of MIS-C throughout New York.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo says this is "just the tip of the iceberg."

The disease called MIS-C, or multi-system inflammatory syndrome, is infecting infants to young adults.

However, most cases are in kids ages one-to-14 with 92% of the young patients displaying symptoms tested positive for COVID-19 or its antibodies.

Cuomo says the state is re-evaluating potential guidelines for summer camps and possibly schools in the fall, in light of what's happening.

So far, three young people in the state have died.
