(NBCNC) — A new poll suggests more than half of Americans would not get a free coronavirus vaccine if one comes out before Election Day.

Researchers from the Kaiser Family Foundation polled nearly 1,200 adults.

More than 60% were concerned that the Food and Drug Administration would rush to approve a vaccine without making sure it is safe due to political pressure from the Trump Administration.

While most did not think a vaccine would be widely available before the presidential election, 54% said they would not want to get vaccinated if one were to be approved and made freely available before Nov. 3.
