ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Rochester Institute of Technology is partnering with hotels to help students from states covered by New York’s travel advisory quarantine.

As of Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s most recent announcement, travelers coming from 31 different states to New York need to quarantine for 14 days or face a fine.

States are added or removed from the list based on a seven day rolling average of positive tests of 10% or more, or a number of positive cases 10 per 100,000 residents or more.

RIT says it’s made arrangements with a number of hotels so that students can quarantine.

The college says rooms will be assigned on a first-come-first-serve basis, and that it’s not releasing a list of hotels at this time.

However, it did confirm the del Lago Resort is not one of the hotels.
