ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The City of Rochester is expanding its small business loan program to help during the coronavirus outbreak.

Kiva Rochester was created as a way for small businesses to get non-traditional loans.

The program will be increasing its maximum loan amount to $15,000 dollars.

They're also waiving some of their financial requirements so more entrepreneurs can apply for the loans.

There will now be a six-month grace period for borrowers before they have to start repaying their loans.
